POCKET SPRING: High quality mattress interior with over 850 springs in a standard double (4'6"x6'3") size. Each cylindrical spring is in its own cloth bag or 'pocket'.

PURE NEW WOOL: The words 'Pure New Wool' must be used to describe this filling used by Alphabeds. The lamb's wool used by Alphabeds is not only 'Pure and New' but is also 'Welsh and Organic'.

All Alphabeds' mattress covers are 100% COTTON. The cover on this mattress is a heavy weight, herringbone weave NATURAL UNBLEACHED COTTON. This is a natural shade fabric with no chemicals added, woven to Alphabeds' specification.

The best quality mattresses are always tufted; a tuft is a woven tape with a soft button (felt washer) at each end. This passes through the mattress and locks the layers of fillings together. All alphabeds' mattresses are hand tufted for long life and stability.

Due to the thick layer of pure wool and the heavyweight, herringbone weave cotton cover, this mattress is classed as 'naturally fire retardent' and contains no added chemicals. All Alphabeds' 'natural filling' mattresses conform to BS7177 Fire Safety Standard.
